What happened: The Buffalo Bills announced they have signed RB Ian Wheeler during the 2026 NFL offseason. Wheeler arrives after a UFL season in which he ran for 386 yards on 68 carries and earned United Bowl MVP honors.

Why it matters: That production does not guarantee an NFL role, but it is enough to demand real preseason work. For a Buffalo roster looking at running back depth before the upcoming 2026 season, Wheeler should get a true chance to push past the camp-body label.
