What happened: The Bills elevated wide receiver Trent Sherfield from the practice squad ahead of tonight's game against the Rams. The move gives Buffalo an extra receiver with D.J. Moore listed as questionable.

Why it matters: Buffalo preserves its receiver rotation if Moore cannot play. Sherfield provides a ready option without a further roster move before kickoff.

What to watch: Pregame inactives will clarify Moore's status for tonight. Sherfield's role then follows how many receivers Buffalo dresses.
