What happened: Joel Sherman outlined defensive and lineup changes for New York ahead of Game 3. The game has not started as scheduled, with the score 0-0. The Tampa Bay Rays lead the series 2-0 entering play.

Why it matters: Trailing 2-0 before first pitch raises the cost of defensive alignment. A home game gives New York a chance to reset the series on its own field.

What to watch: Next is whether Boone adjusts the lineup and defensive alignment by first pitch.
