What happened: Boston College football and general manager Kenyatta Watson have mutually agreed to part ways, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. Hired in December 2025 after two seasons as Auburn's assistant general manager, the former Eagles receiver departs midway through the 2026 campaign.

Why it matters: Watson oversaw an offseason roster overhaul that brought 30 transfer portal additions to Chestnut Hill, including his son, three-star cornerback Jett Watson. Despite the influx of new talent following a 2-10 finish in 2025, Boston College has opened the 2026 regular season at 2-3.

By the numbers: Boston College is 2-3 in 2026 after going 2-10 in 2025. Watson's front office added 30 transfers ahead of the season. As an Eagles player from 1993 to 1996, Watson recorded 93 receptions for 1,215 yards, 8 touchdowns, and over 2,000 return yards.

What to watch: Boston College continues ACC play on Saturday, October 17 at 12 p.m. ET when it hosts a Pitt squad monitoring running back Ja'Kyrian Turner's status.
