What happened: The Philadelphia Eagles ruled out quarterback Jalen Hurts for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers after a Wednesday night ultrasound revealed movement in a small superficial blood clot. Hurts first requested calf treatment on Oct. 8 after being cleated during the Oct. 4 game against the Los Angeles Rams, and a Saturday scan in London initially detected the clot. Team doctors and London medical staff cleared him to play without limitation on Sunday before the scheduled 72-hour follow-up ultrasound prompted the club to hold him out.
