What happened: The basket came during Friday's postseason action. It pushed Stewart up another rung on the league's career scoring leaderboard less than a week after her latest World Cup MVP honor.

Why it matters: Career-list movement in September carries extra weight because postseason possessions can shape both a championship chase and a long-term legacy. It also extends the surge from Breanna Stewart's repeat Women's World Cup MVP run straight into the WNBA playoffs.

What to watch: The next marker is how much higher Stewart can climb before this postseason ends. Every added scoring burst from here shifts both the bracket and her place on the career list.
