What happened: The Milwaukee Brewers activated right-hander Joel Kuhnel on Monday and optioned right-hander Craig Yoho to Triple-A Nashville. Kuhnel was acquired from the Oakland Athletics over the weekend in exchange for cash to provide veteran depth for the relief corps.

Why it matters: The roster move aims to stabilize a bullpen recently thinned by injuries to DL Hall and Brian Fitzpatrick. While Yoho impressed with five strikeouts in three innings during his brief call-up, the club prioritized Kuhnel’s veteran experience for the current homestand.

What to watch: Kuhnel is expected to be available for tonight's game as the Brewers look to protect their lead in the NL Central.
