What happened: Boston Celtics analyst Brian Scalabrine pushed back at Jaylen Brown after the former Boston wing dismissed Jayson Tatum's recent reflections on their partnership as public relations. Scalabrine argued that Brown is using media commentary and Tatum's remarks to cast himself in a sympathetic light following the split.

Why it matters: Public friction surrounding the former Boston co-stars has lingered since the offseason trade that ended their tenure together. The remarks come shortly after Scalabrine walked back his own earlier claim that Brown had demanded a trade prior to the move.

What to watch: Upcoming regular-season meetings between Brown and Tatum's Celtics will draw added attention following the ongoing public exchanges.
