What happened: Penner Sports Group has acquired a minority interest in Spanish LaLiga club Valencia CF through a new shareholder alliance with Pitchwise Holdings. Under the agreement announced Saturday, Pitchwise will hold a 42% ownership share while Meriton remains the majority shareholder and Kiat Lim continues as club president.

Why it matters: The investment extends the multi-sport portfolio of the Broncos ownership group led by Greg Penner into European soccer alongside its NFL franchise. Penner Sports Group also became the largest minority owner of MLB's Colorado Rockies, expanding the family's holdings across both Colorado and international sports properties.

By the numbers: Pitchwise Holdings will hold 42% of Valencia CF under the new shareholder pact. In the NFL, the Denver Broncos hold a 4-2 record (No. 5 seed) and a two-game winning streak after a 17-14 victory on Oct. 15.

What to watch: Valencia CF begins operating under the new partnership between Meriton and Pitchwise Holdings as the LaLiga schedule continues.
