What happened: Denver listed cornerback Pat Surtain II as out for Thursday night against Seattle. The short-week absence removes the Broncos' top coverage option from the prime-time matchup.

Why it matters: Seattle's passing attack gets a cleaner matchup without Surtain on the outside. Denver must reshuffle coverage assignments with no extra practice time before kickoff.

What to watch: Kickoff comes Thursday night, when Denver's corner rotation gets tested.
