What happened: Cleveland Browns are trading their No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Kansas City Chiefs, per Adam Schefter. The deal allows Kansas City to jump ahead in the first round. Full compensation details are pending official confirmation.

Why it matters: Chiefs aim to grab a premier quarterback prospect amid Patrick Mahomes' injury recovery concerns from 2025 season. Browns gain extra mid-round picks to address depth needs after 4-13 finish. Trade shifts AFC power dynamics and betting futures.

By the numbers: Trade details (reported): Browns get Chiefs' No. 20 (1st), No. 92 (3rd), 2027 2nd-rounder. Chiefs get No. 6 (1st), No. 99 (3rd). Super Bowl movement: Chiefs, Browns. 2025 records: Browns 4-13 (pick via strength of loss), Chiefs 12-5 (AFC West).

What to watch: Monitor NFL Draft Day 1 for official terms and Chiefs' selection at No. 6.
