What happened: The WNBA revealed the opening round of its All-Star draft Wednesday. Team Coop took Paige Bueckers as the No. 1 fan vote-getter, while Team Spoon selected Caitlin Clark as the No. 2 fan vote-getter.

Why it matters: The vote totals confirm Bueckers and Clark as the league's top two draws in fan balloting this season. Splitting them onto opposing rosters sets up a head-to-head look between the two guards during All-Star weekend.

What to watch: Team Coop and Team Spoon continue filling out their rosters as the rest of the All-Star draft unfolds.
