JJ Redick has challenged Walker Kessler to be "relentless". Walker on what that means for him: https://t.co/w1laj9iPMi Via @khobi_price on X

What happened: The standard was set during preseason camp. Kessler addressed what relentlessness looks like for him Wednesday.

Why it matters: Los Angeles wants a full-time paint anchor for 2026-27. How consistently Kessler sustains that motor will shape his drop-coverage workload.

By the numbers: 11 points and 9 rebounds in 16 first-half minutes in preseason debut.

What to watch: Preseason rotations will show how much of that role sticks. The opener will test the workload.
