What happened: Caleb Wilson, the Bulls' No. 4 overall pick, said he isn't taking time off, telling the NBA he's headed back to Chicago to keep working. The forward is coming off a Summer League stretch that included a snub from the USA Basketball roster.

Why it matters: Chicago is retooling for 2026-27 after signing Norman Powell, and Wilson's stated commitment to offseason work signals the front office expects him in the rotation mix early. His production in Vegas — double-digit scoring with rebounds, steals and blocks — adds weight to that plan.

By the numbers: 16 PTS, 7 REB, 2 STL, 5 BLK in a Summer League game with 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

What to watch: Watch for Wilson's remaining Summer League slate in Las Vegas and how he's used once Bulls training camp opens.
