What happened: Clark is averaging 22.6 points per game, third in the WNBA, while adding 108 made 3-pointers, fourth most in the league. She is the only player ranked in the top three in both scoring and assists this season.

Why it matters: For Caitlin Clark, that mix of shot volume and primary-creator work keeps her squarely in the MVP debate as the postseason opens. A guard who can pair elite scoring with the league's top assist average is rare, and the record number of 25-and-10 games sharpens the historical case.

What to watch: The next checkpoints are MVP voting and whether Clark's production carries unchanged into the playoffs. Another high-usage scoring night with double-digit assists would add to a season already stacked with 25-and-10 benchmarks.
