What happened: Baker Mayfield threw a lead block downfield to clear the path on a long touchdown run. Kenneth Gainwell highlighted the effort on Tuesday, noting that teammates want to 'go to battle with somebody that’s willing to do that.

Why it matters: The play underscores Mayfield's physical style as Tampa Bay looks to build offensive momentum in 2026. Mayfield was previously praised for his play-extension ability during preparation for NFC South play. His willingness to initiate downfield contact provides a tangible standard for the offense.

What to watch: Mayfield and Tampa Bay aim to carry that physical standard into their upcoming slate.
