What happened: Cam Schlittler was introduced at the 96th MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia alongside Cody Bellinger and Ben Rice. The group drew boos from the local crowd during pregame ceremonies ahead of the 8 p.m. ET broadcast on FOX.

Why it matters: The selection confirms the breakout status of the surprise Cy Young candidate scouted by Matt Hyde. His rotation presence has anchored the staff while fellow invitees like Rice provide offensive firepower.

By the numbers: Cam Schlittler has logged a 2.38 ERA through 33 career starts, representing the fourth-lowest mark through 28 starts in club history. Ben Rice entered the contest fresh off AL Player of the Week honors after collecting five home runs and 12 RBI.

What to watch: Watch whether Cam Schlittler appears out of the American League bullpen during the All-Star Game before second-half regular-season action resumes.
