What happened: Washington's three-day rookie camp will run at McMullen Hockey Arena in Annapolis through Sept. 15. Goalie work starts at 10:30 a.m. daily, followed by practice from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Why it matters: The prospect sessions lead into the first full-camp skate and Caps Media Day on Sept. 17. This will be the club's 20th training camp at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
By the numbers: Rookie camp includes six scheduled ice blocks: three goalie sessions and three 90-minute practices.
What to watch: Veterans undergo physicals and off-ice testing Sept. 16 before taking the ice the following day.
