What happened: The St. Louis Cardinals opened a fan-voting push for outfielder Alec Burleson, branding the effort 'Run Burly Run' and directing supporters to the league's first round of All-Star balloting. The campaign positions Burleson as the club's headline candidate for the 2026 Midsummer Classic.

Why it matters: All-Star selection would mark a milestone for Burleson, whose steady production has made him one of the Cardinals' most reliable bats this season. A nod would also give St. Louis a marquee representative as the franchise leans on its everyday players to anchor the lineup.

What to watch: Watch the first-round vote totals to see whether Burleson lands among the position leaders before the next balloting update.
