What happened: Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love is headed to injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain that sidelines him 4-5 weeks, sources told @RapSheet. He had been dealing with a separate ankle sprain, the same rookie Arizona ruled out for Week 6. Coach Mike LaFleur said Monday that Love suffered a "new" ankle injury in Sunday's 33-30 overtime win at Dallas.

Why it matters: Love, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 draft out of Notre Dame, is a first-round selection. Arizona is 3-5 and sits 12th in the seed race after beating the Cowboys.

By the numbers: Love: 76 carries, 268 yards and 1 touchdown in 2026 through 6 games. Cardinals: 3-5 in 2026 through 8 games, with a one-game winning streak.

What to watch: LaFleur said Monday he would have an update on Love later this week.
