What happened: Head coach Mike LaFleur announced Friday that Love will sit out Sunday's game after remaining sidelined during Thursday's practice. The rookie running back is recovering from an ankle injury that also kept him out of Week 6. LaFleur additionally ruled out Walter Nolen and Jon Gaines for Sunday.

Why it matters: Selected third overall out of Notre Dame in the 2026 NFL Draft, Love has dealt with ankle issues since soreness flared following his August debut. Arizona sits 13th in the conference standings at 2-4 and must again navigate its backfield rotation without its top draft pick as it looks to build on an 18-16 win at the Los Angeles Rams.

By the numbers: Arizona enters the weekend 2-4 overall on a one-game winning streak after defeating the Rams 18-16 on Oct. 18. Sunday marks the second consecutive absence for Love, the No.

What to watch: The Cardinals take the field Sunday without Love, Nolen, and Gaines as they seek a second straight victory.
