What happened: The Cardinals used their account to campaign for Iván Herrera in the first round of 2026 MLB All-Star voting. The post framed Herrera as a nightly all-out contributor and directed fans to the league voting link.

Why it matters: All-Star voting can amplify a player's national profile and give a club another way to spotlight its core during the regular season. For Herrera, the push also comes after prior injury context, including offseason bone-spur surgery reported after the 2025 season.

By the numbers: Herrera was listed as having undergone surgery to remove bone spurring on Oct. 15, 2025. Recent Cardinals context includes a 6-1 loss to the Padres on June 17, 2026, with Herrera involved in early baserunning mistakes according to game coverage.

What to watch: Watch whether the Cardinals keep Herrera central in their All-Star campaign as first-round voting continues. The next signal is whether league voting updates show him gaining traction.
