What happened: Iván Herrera hit a go-ahead home run to give St. Louis a temporary advantage. The Milwaukee Brewers ultimately rallied to secure a 4-3 victory.

Why it matters: The defeat pushes the Cardinals into a two-game losing streak and drops their overall record to 47-41. Milwaukee continues to build on a strong 56-33 campaign while extending recent dominance over the rival club.

By the numbers: The Brewers have won five consecutive head-to-head matchups dating back to early May. Over that five-game stretch, Milwaukee has outscored St. Louis by a combined 23-7 margin.

What to watch: St. Louis will attempt to bounce back and halt their skid in the next scheduled contest.
