Texans GM Nick Caserio said Tank Dell is close to returning and it's not as much about the physical. On 'The 89 Show' we Via @JamesPalmerTV on X

What happened: Caserio said confidence is part of what remains before Dell can play at his usual level. Dell is on injured reserve with a return designation.

Why it matters: Houston will open the season without Dell as it manages its receiving options. His availability remains a key roster variable once he is eligible to return.

By the numbers: Dell must miss at least the Texans' first four games under his return designation.

What to watch: The Texans should have a clearer assessment after four weeks or four games, Caserio said.
