What happened: Wide receiver Tank Dell made his 2026 season debut during Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the New York Giants, logging his first live snaps since December 2024. A knee injury sidelined him for the entire 2025 campaign before he cleared his questionable tag ahead of kickoff.

Why it matters: His return adds a healthy receiving option for a 2-4 Houston offense working to gain ground in the AFC standings. After avoiding the physically unable to perform list when training camp opened in July, the Texans managed his progression through the first six weeks of the regular season before putting him back in uniform.

What to watch: Dell's snap count and target share against New York will establish the baseline for his offensive role heading into Week 8.
