What happened: CBS Sports released its latest MLB Power Rankings for mid-June, confirming the Atlanta Braves as the league's top team despite a recent 1-5 stretch. The Chicago White Sox emerged as the week's biggest climber, moving into the Top 10 after securing back-to-back series victories over the Braves and the Dodgers.

Why it matters: The rankings highlight a volatile middle tier where 27 teams remain within postseason contention. Despite the oblique injury to Aaron Judge, the Yankees climbed to No. 4, signaling that depth and pitching stability will define the race as the trade deadline approaches.

What to watch: Expect the Phillies to address their struggles against left-handed starters as the Brewers' rotation continues its record-setting velocity streak.
