What happened: The Thursday matchup reached a New England Patriots 24, Chicago Bears 30 final after Caleb evaded New England pursuit and kept the chains moving late. Chicago controlled possession down the stretch to protect the lead and prevent a New England comeback.

Why it matters: Sustaining offensive drives when the opposing defense knows the situation separates real playoff threats from pretenders. A quarterback who consistently converts late possessions gives the Chicago Bears roster a reliable floor against quality opponents.
