What happened: Kansas City signed Emmanuel Ogbah to a one-year deal on Aug. 12, beginning his second stint with the club. His first Chiefs run came in 2019.

Why it matters: The move removes a veteran option from Kansas City's edge rotation before the 2026 opener. Ogbah becomes available to teams seeking late pass-rush depth.

By the numbers: Ogbah has 48 sacks, 116 quarterback hits and nine forced fumbles in 136 career games, including 90 starts.

What to watch: Kansas City's remaining cuts will define its defensive-end rotation, while Ogbah searches for his next destination.
