Sources: The #Chiefs are signing former #Texans LB Aiden Fisher to their practice squad. The rookie 7th-round pick was Via @Schultz_Report on X

What happened: Sources told Schultz_Report that Kansas City is adding Fisher to its practice squad. Houston waived the rookie on Oct. 17 after drafting him 243rd overall in the seventh round out of Indiana. He was an All-American last season as Indiana won a national championship.

Why it matters: Practice-squad linebackers supply scout-team depth and injury Kansas City gives the seventh-round rookie a second developmental stop after his early exit from Houston. His path now depends on special-teams value and week-to-week linebacker health.

By the numbers: Draft: 7th round, 243rd overall in 2026, out of Indiana (as of Sept. 29, 2026). Waived by Houston on Oct. 17, 2026. College: All-American last season, Indiana national championship.

What to watch: Fisher is eligible to practice with Kansas City this week and compete for a gameday elevation if depth thins.
