What happened: Atlanta won the opening coin toss and elected to kick off to start Sunday's game. Christian McCaffrey immediately gashed the Falcons defense across the opening possession. Linebacker Kendal Daniels also returned to action for Atlanta on the first series one week after being carted off the field to Grady Hospital.

Why it matters: The Falcons entered the matchup on a two-game skid while managing a heavy injury report. Atlanta activated cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. from injured reserve following a groin injury and signed defensive end Drake Jackson ahead of the backfield matchup headlined by McCaffrey and Bijan Robinson.

What to watch: Atlanta's defense will look to adjust its front-seven fits to slow McCaffrey's touches through the remainder of the first half.
