What happened: Dallas kept Moussa Cisse by matching the Knicks' offer sheet in July. Los Angeles enters Monday's cutdown with the backup center spot still unsettled ahead of Tuesday tipoff.

Why it matters: The vacancy leaves early foul trouble and second-unit rebounding uncovered. With Cisse off the market, a same-day trade or waiver claim is the remaining route to add a veteran big.

What to watch: Watch Monday's cuts and second-round-pick talks for a last backup center addition.
