What happened: Sonia Citron has reeled off 11 points to go with 3 assists and 3 rebounds for the Washington Mystics in a game still in progress against the New York Liberty. Washington holds a narrow early edge as Citron sets the tone on both ends. The young guard is dictating the Mystics' offense in the opening stretch.

Why it matters: Citron continues to look the part of a building block for a Mystics team scrapping to climb out of the middle of the standings at 7-8. The Liberty arrive as one of the league's hottest teams, riding an eight-game winning streak, which raises the degree of difficulty for any Washington run. A strong night from Citron would be a meaningful marker for a franchise leaning on its younger core.

What to watch: Watch whether Citron can keep her scoring and playmaking going as the Liberty's defense settles in, and whether Washington can hang with a New York side that has not lost in eight outings.
