What happened: Cleveland's Sunday victory moved a Browns squad that entered the campaign viewed as an underrated division contender to the top of the AFC North standings, per Ian Rapoport.

Why it matters: Claiming the division lead reshapes Cleveland's midseason posture from a rumored trade-deadline seller into an active playoff contender. Setting the pace in the AFC North gives the front office leverage to prioritize postseason positioning as midseason roster decisions approach.

What to watch: Cleveland looks to defend its division lead in its next regular-season outing while evaluating roster options ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
