What happened: The Indianapolis Colts elevated defensive end Carl Lawson and cornerback Johnathan Edwards from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's divisional game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both players step into active roles to bolster depth on defense and special teams for the matchup.

Why it matters: Lawson, who was signed to the practice squad on Oct. 7, gives Indianapolis proven pass-rushing depth along the edge. Edwards adds familiar depth to the secondary as the defensive unit prepares for AFC South play.

What to watch: Indianapolis visits the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
