What happened: The Indianapolis Colts stand at 2-5 through seven games in 2026. Running back Jonathan Taylor continues to shoulder the primary offensive workload amidst a three-game losing streak.

Why it matters: Taylor produced 1,585 yards and 18 touchdowns on 323 carries across 17 games with the Colts last season in 2025. While heavy volume sustains elite individual numbers, relying on a premier back cannot mask structural shortcomings across the lineup.
