Colts now have officially removed WR Alec Pierce from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. Via @AdamSchefter on X

What happened: Alec Pierce is eligible to practice after spending training camp rehabbing from March ankle surgery. Indianapolis placed the receiver on active/PUP at the start of camp.

Why it matters: Indianapolis can now evaluate Pierce in team work before setting its opening-week receiver rotation. Active/PUP permitted a preseason return without using a regular-season roster designation.

By the numbers: Pierce spent 31 days on active/PUP, from July 27 through August 27.

What to watch: Pierce's practice participation will show how quickly he can rejoin the offense before the 2026 opener.
