What happened: Indianapolis announced the move after Slayton signed Sept. 22 as added depth. He was downgraded to out against Pittsburgh on Oct. 10.

Why it matters: Indianapolis placed Alec Pierce on injured reserve with a heel injury Sept. 23. The club added Quez Watkins to the practice squad Oct. 6 for depth.

By the numbers: Slayton caught 37 passes for 538 yards and 1 touchdown in 14 games in 2025 with the Giants. The Giants drafted him in the fifth round in 2019, 171st overall, out of Auburn.

What to watch: Indianapolis moves forward with its remaining receiving group while Pierce remains on injured reserve.
