What happened: Washington signed center Daniel Brunskill, tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere and guard Max Scharping. The six transactions affect the offensive line, wide receiver and defensive tackle groups.

Why it matters: The additions supply veteran line depth during the preseason. The moves continue Washington's roster reshuffle before the 53-man cut.

What to watch: Practice repetitions will show how quickly the new linemen enter the rotation. Further cuts remain possible as Washington sets its regular-season roster.
