What happened: The Washington Commanders elevated wide receiver Van Jefferson to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. The move provides immediate depth as Stefon Diggs is officially out and Terry McLaurin is listed as questionable.

Why it matters: Jefferson adds veteran experience for a depleted Washington receiving corps. If McLaurin is limited or unable to play, Jefferson could see early targets in the passing game.

What to watch: Monitor McLaurin's status heading into kickoff to see if Washington will be without its top two receivers.
