What happened: Washington is signing Neal to its practice squad after opening his career in New Orleans and a brief Minnesota stint that ended Oct. 6. The 2025 fifth-round pick totaled 310 yards and 2 touchdowns as a rookie.

Why it matters: Washington adds backfield depth on the developmental roster without using an active-roster spot. Neal gives the staff a young option with recent regular-season production if the running back room thins.

What to watch: Watch whether Washington elevates Neal for game-day depth in the coming weeks.
