What happened: National evaluators are coalescing around the Seattle Seahawks in their latest NFL power rankings. The team has seen consistent placement among the league's top tier heading into Week 3.

Why it matters: The early recognition reflects confidence in the roster following a 2-0 start and a recent 31-7 rout of Arizona. Earning high marks across multiple publications indicates broad belief in Seattle's current trajectory.

By the numbers: An aggregation of eight different lists placed Seattle third on average. Four of those eight independent rankings positioned the Seahawks first overall.

What to watch: Seattle will aim to validate this early national consensus as the regular season continues.
