What happened: Courtney Williams passed Shannon Johnson on the WNBA's all-time assists list on Wednesday, climbing into 15th place. The Minnesota Lynx guard reached the mark on a night the league flagged as a milestone evening for the franchise, with teammate Natasha Howard also moving up the all-time blocks list into 20th.

Why it matters: The milestone reflects the steady playmaking Courtney Williams has provided for a Lynx team near the top of the standings. Cracking the all-time top 15 in assists underscores her durability and her role running one of the league's most efficient offenses.

What to watch: Williams and the Lynx return to the floor at Golden State, where Minnesota carries one of the league's best records into the matchup.
