What happened: The milestone came in Kirk Cousins' first week of the 2026 regular season. He later joked, "It's a decent name. He had a decent career," after moving past John Elway on the career touchdown list.

Why it matters: The climb adds an early marker to the veteran's return to a Week 1 starting job. It also gives his opening stretch added context beyond the usual single-game box score.

What to watch: The next check is whether Cousins can keep adding touchdowns as the season settles in. More early production would keep moving him up the career leaderboard.
