What happened: Dallas hosts Washington on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET in FOX's featured late window. The buildup centers on whether Jacory Merritt can claim a second Tom Brady LFG Player of the Game honor.

Why it matters: The matchup comes with Dallas trying to steady itself after a 28-20 opening loss to the Giants. Washington enters after adding veteran lineman Lucas Patrick to its 53-man roster, an early-season tweak up front.

By the numbers: Dallas signed Tyler Goodson to the active roster this week and waived Israel Abanikanda after Malik Davis went on injured reserve. Patrick joins Washington with 65 career starts across 10 NFL seasons.

What to watch: Sunday's game will show how quickly Dallas' reshaped backfield settles and whether Washington's updated line holds up on the road.
