What happened: Deshaun Watson has won the Cleveland Browns' starting quarterback competition. Despite losing the initial position battle, Shedeur Sanders remains positioned to challenge for playing time.

Why it matters: The decision establishes Cleveland's offensive hierarchy as the team carries a 1-3 record into a scheduled matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Watson provides veteran continuity for an offense seeking stability.

What to watch: Sanders' usage will depend on Watson's on-field performance.
