What happened: Pesce urged fans to lace up for the Running with the Devils 5K Run & Walk. RWJBarnabas is attached to the event as the Devils push the 10th annual edition.

Why it matters: A community event does not move the standings, but it keeps the club visible off the ice before the schedule turns back to hockey. Putting Brett Pesce on the signup push gives the event a recognizable Devils player at the front of it.

What to watch: Watch for any added Devils participants and final event-day details as Nov. 1 approaches.
