What happened: Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets meet with the game not yet underway. The Dodgers arrive on a 64-36 record and a two-game winning streak, while the Mets sit at 40-57 and have dropped their last game.

Why it matters: Los Angeles has taken the last three meetings between these two clubs, outscoring the Mets 14-3 across that stretch. The gap in the standings shows in the market, with the Dodgers priced as heavy road favorites.

By the numbers: Dodgers: 64-36, 5.3 runs scored/game, 3.8 allowed, last five WWLLW. Mets: 40-57, 4.1 scored, 4.7 allowed, last five LWLWL. Dodgers have won three straight head-to-head meetings this season by a combined 14-3.

What to watch: First pitch is upcoming at Citi Field, with New York looking to snap a one-game skid against a Dodgers club that has dominated the season series.
