Dolphins acquire Kyle McCord from Packers for 2028 sixth

He threw four TDs without a preseason interception

Wire Report IntelligenceUpdated Aug 301 min read

What happened: Kyle McCord joins Miami behind Malik Willis on the depth chart. The move comes one day after Miami sent Quinn Ewers to Jacksonville.

Why it matters: Miami used a 2028 sixth-round pick to replenish its quarterback room before the roster deadline. Green Bay turned McCord's three-game preseason run into future draft capital.

By the numbers: McCord completed the preseason with 446 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions across three games.

What to watch: Miami's final roster will clarify the depth chart behind Willis. McCord now has limited time to absorb the offense before the 2026 season.
