What happened: The new agreement keeps Mitchell tied to Adidas on a long-term basis as preseason ramps up. It also extends the partnership behind his signature shoe line after the deal surfaced earlier this week.

Why it matters: The extension adds another off-court commitment for Donovan Mitchell ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. For Cleveland, it keeps one of the franchise's biggest stars in the spotlight entering a season with renewed expectations.

What to watch: Watch for Adidas and Mitchell to outline rollout plans for the partnership as preseason coverage builds.
