What happened: Nickie Quaid, Seán Finn, Diarmaid Byrnes, Kyle Hayes, Adam English, Gearóid Hegarty, Aidan O’Connor and Peter Casey are viewed as established All-Star contenders. Tom Morrissey, Barry Nash, William O’Donoghue, Darragh O’Donovan, Cian Lynch and Cathal O’Neill could strengthen their cases in the final.

Why it matters: Limerick’s 1-21 to 1-19 semi-final victory secured another chance to shape the season’s individual awards. Strong performances in the championship decider could turn borderline candidacies into selections.

What to watch: The All-Ireland final on July 19 will provide the last major evidence for selectors.
